Our family went to the zoo today to celebrate Mother’s Day. Katherine’s cousins and Aunt came to the zoo as well. The cousins shared very well and spent time together in the Chariot. We got lots of looks from other zoo visitors – with one family brave enough to ask “where did you get that thing?” ๐ Katherine saw and got very excited about the lions “rorrr”, a giraffe eating from a tree (munching sounds), wild dogs (woof woof) and orangutans (oh oh oh). All in all, she had a wonderful time checking out the animals, pointing and waving at them. Even more exciting was seeing her baby cousin – she tried to peer in to his stroller numerous times saying “babeee.”
Yesterday was less sunny, so we headed over to the Pacific Science Center. Katherine played in the toddler only area. She spent a bunch of time putting her hands in bubbles, filling water toys, going up/down slide. Her favorite, I think, was “driving” a yellow helicopter.
