Katherine’s 4th grade class at Open Window School went to the corn maze. Christine as room parent helped shepherd the kids around the corn maze. All of Katherine’s classmates eventually found their way out!

Soccer Tournament Day 2
Second day of Allison’s soccer tournament. Saturday had two games. Allison plays keeper for one half of each game. In the first game they won. Allison stopped 3 of 4 attempts. They played girls comparable in age. They lost the second game though their opponents were much older.
Hopefully today’s game is more like the first.
Medina Days 2012
We attended Medina Days with the Williams (Tori and Charlotte are not related). Katherine and Tori worked hard on a float where Rosebud was Aladdin and Tori’s dog was the princess. They made it into the Medina Days slideshow.
Two more highlights: the water slide and Hulu Hoop contest. Charlotte and Allison had a great time on the water slide. Tori and Katherine focused on the Hulu Hoop contest. Tori got 2nd place in their round and Katherine got 3rd.

Octopus Strikes Back
On a hot Sunday afternoon, we decided to see if Rosebud would like playing with the water Octopus. Katherine, Allison, and Rosebud all had a great time. Rosebud loved to drink from the flaying water octopus tentacles. She got more than her fill of water and we spent most of the evening shuttling her outside to relieve herself.
Seattle Storm and Allison Playing Soccer
It was a busy week. We attended the Seattle Storm game and Allison had her first soccer tournament. It was fun to see the Storm again after a year off. We miss Lauren Jackson who is playing with her Australian Olympic team. She plans to return after the Olympics. Allison’s first soccer tournament was this weekend. At this point, all of the feedback about standing around in the sun all weekend to watch your daughter play soccer hit home. We quickly realized that we needed to buy a canopy so we didn’t bake in the sun.
Allison played keeper for one half of the game. This made both Christine and I very nervous as they were playing older girls (7, 8, and 9 year olds). Allison did well despite their opponent’s overwhelming offense.
